Vittorio Emmanuel II starts the move of the government of newly Unified Italy from Torino to Firenze in 1865. Parliament moves into Palazzo Vecchio and Vittorio moves into Palazzo Pitti. The Parliament and Vittorio will remain in Firenze until 1871, at which point they move to Roma. In his then current role of Chaplain to the King, Valerio moves as well. Valerio’s brother Alessandro Anzino, who was working in the Royal Library in Torino, moves to Fienze and takes a position at the Uffizi.
